2027 Iowa Field of Dreams

Is This Heaven?  No, It's Iowa!

August 2-9, 2027

* Chicago--Voted Best Big City for 10 Years Straight!*

Is this heaven? No, it’s Iowa! Set out on a memorable journey through America’s heartland, where movie nostalgia,

agricultural heritage, river traditions, small-town discoveries, and remarkable craftsmanship come together. The highlight

is a visit to the legendary Field of Dreams site in Dyersville, Iowa—the unforgettable baseball diamond made famous by

the beloved film.

Your adventure begins with a stop in Shipshewana, including time at its expansive flea market, where vendors offer

antiques, crafts, home décor, and other finds. Continue to the John Deere Pavilion to explore the evolution of farming

equipment, then enjoy a relaxing luncheon cruise aboard the Celebration Belle on the mighty Mississippi River. You’ll also

visit Antique Archaeology, the shop featured on American Pickers, and have an opportunity to discover regional spirits at

Mississippi River Distilling Company.

In Dubuque, a guided city tour introduces local landmarks and history, including the Fenelon Place Funicular, followed by

a visit to the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. A planned historic progressive dinner offers another way to

experience the city’s heritage. In Dyersville, learn more about the movie at the If You Build It Exhibit before stepping onto

the famous Field of Dreams baseball diamond and visiting the farmhouse. The itinerary also features Matchstick Marvels,

known for its astonishingly detailed models built from ordinary wooden matchsticks, plus additional stops on the journey

home. With a mix of iconic movie memories, hands-on exhibits, scenic river experiences, and distinctive Midwestern

attractions, this tour offers something to delight film fans and curious travelers alike.
