Atlantic City is the seaside gaming and resort capital of the East Coast, hosting over 27 million visitors a year, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.

More than $1.7 billion in investments in recent years has enhanced Atlantic City’s magnetic appeal with world-renowned casinos resorts and hotels, big name restaurants featuring famous chefs, unique attractions, headline entertainment, luxurious spas, championship golf, elite shopping and more.

Non-casino luxury hotels have changed the skyline of Atlantic City. The Water Club introduces a new brand of hospitality, offering a unique personality all its own just steps away from the entertainment, nightlife, and dining of Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. The Chelsea is the first non-gaming hotel to grace the Boardwalk since the 1960s, and this boutique luxury hotel conjures the glamour and sophistication of the seaside resort town. The Courtyard by Marriott is another non-casino option, conveniently located one block from the beach and historic Boardwalk.

For the distinguished shopper, The Pier Shops at Caesars features elite shopping retailers from Tiffany & Co. and Burberry to Louis Vuitton and Victoria’s Secret. Tanger Outlets, The Walk encompasses 15-city blocks and features impressive outlet shopping venues from Coach and J. Crew to Michael Kors and Eddie Bauer.

With such a wide array of incredible food options, dining in Atlantic City is a delicious multi-culinary experience. Delicious dining abounds with options from Bobby Flay Steak, Wolfgang Puck American Grille, Carmine’s, Cuba Libra, Buddakan and Mia to McCormick & Schmick’s, IL Mulino, Morton’s – The Steakhouse and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

Luxury spas in Atlantic City are destinations unto themselves and are more popular than ever. Bluemercury Spa, and Qua Bath & Spa have solidified a strong presence all their own as well as Sea Spa, Immersion, Spa Toccare, Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa and more.

Getting to Atlantic City is easier than ever. The Atlantic City International Airport is 12 miles west of the city and provides service all over the country. Atlantic City is only an hour from Philadelphia and two-and-a-half hours from New York City. Rail service provided by New Jersey Transit arrives and departs through the rail terminal adjacent to the Atlantic City Convention Center and Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station.

ATLANTIC CITY’S FIRST CASINO – A RESORTS AC HISTORY

Resorts Casino was the first casino hotel inside of Atlantic City, and the first legal casino outside of Nevada. Before becoming Resorts International in 1968, the site was originally occupied by two three-story wooden Quaker rooming houses, The Chalfonte House and The Haddon House.   Read more...
