Step back in time and soak in the scenic beauty of north-central Pennsylvania on this relaxed three-day journey filled with history, charm, and unforgettable views. Designed with comfort and discovery in mind, this thoughtfully paced tour blends iconic landscapes with small-town hospitality and classic Americana experiences.

Your adventure begins at the breathtaking Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, where sweeping vistas from Leonard Harrison State Park offer the perfect introduction to the region. Enjoy a hearty cowboy-style lunch before settling in for a guided covered wagon ride along the canyon floor, tracing the path of old rail lines and learning about the area’s rich lumbering past. The day concludes in picturesque Wellsboro, where you’ll unwind at the historic Penn Wells Lodge and enjoy a delicious locally inspired dinner.

Day two continues the story at the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum, bringing the history of the logging era to life through engaging exhibits and artifacts. Afterward, savor free time in downtown Wellsboro—browse unique shops, enjoy lunch at your own pace, and indulge in a sweet stop at Highland Chocolate. The evening highlights dining in the elegant Mary Wells Dining Room, followed by relaxing at the lodge.

On the final day, travel to Williamsport to explore the Thomas T. Taber Museum, where Lycoming County’s heritage unfolds through beautiful collections and guided storytelling. Then glide along the Susquehanna River aboard the Hiawatha paddlewheel riverboat, taking in peaceful river views and enjoying lunch on board.

With comfortable accommodations, leisurely pacing, and a perfect blend of scenery, history, and hometown charm, Timber Trails & Canyon Tales offers a memorable Pennsylvania getaway that’s as enriching as it is relaxing.
